Robert Donald (Don) Stevens founded Stevens and Associates, Immigration Services, Inc. in 1989 in Vancouver. His experience in government began with several terms as a counsellor and manager with the Federal government’s student employment centres in his hometown of Selkirk, Manitoba and Winnipeg, Manitoba, while completing his undergraduate studies in Economics. In his final term he was promoted to the role of Assistant Regional Coordinator of Summer Youth Employment Programs.

He moved to Victoria to do his Masters’ degree and again worked in the Federal government as an immigration officer in Victoria and Vancouver. He then took roles in the provincial government in Victoria in the ministries of Labour and Finance. His last role was executive assistant to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance.

When Don finished law school, he moved to Vancouver and opened his immigration consulting business in 1989. He is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC – R419735) with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). He also earned certification to represent applicants before the Immigration Refugee Board and as a Commissioner of Oaths. He is also a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR).

Throughout his career Don has travelled extensively and has been able to help thousands of people to successfully immigrate to Canada as skilled workers, businesspeople and sponsored family members and, thousands more to come as visitors, workers and students. We have also helped many people apply as refugees and in the humanitarian classes. In addition, we have represented hundreds of people before the Immigration Refugee Board on appeals and other contentious matters.
